Custom Hallway Shoe Storage Cupboard in Dundonald, London

For this property in Dundonald, London, we built a slim custom hallway shoe storage cupboard with four doors and six internal tiers of shallow shelving. Traditional applied bead moulding and polished chrome round knobs give the front a consistent decorative finish.

Custom Four-Door Cupboard with Traditional Bead Moulding

The four doors enclose the shoe storage, with applied beading defining the panels across the front. Round polished chrome knobs provide access to each door, while concealed European cup hinges are fitted inside the cupboard.

We made the carcass, countertop slab, shelving and outer face frames from standard MDF. Moisture-resistant MR-MDF was used for the door centre panels, with decorative bead moulding applied to the fronts.

Custom Shoe Storage with Six Shelving Tiers

Six internal tiers of shallow shelving provide space to organise footwear behind the cupboard doors. The shallow shelves suit the slim proportions of the hallway cupboard while offering several levels for shoe storage.

We sanded the bare composite board surfaces and left the joinery unpainted, ready for primer and final topcoat.
