Custom Built-In Shaker Wardrobe with Drawers in Watford

For this home in Watford, we built a floor-to-ceiling custom fitted wardrobe with four upper doors and six lower drawers. Shaker panel detailing links the door and drawer fronts, while internal shelving and double hanging rails provide space for clothing.

Custom Shaker Wardrobe with Decorative Architrave and Cornice

We made the outer carcass, internal shelving and door faces from moisture-resistant MR-MDF. Surface-mounted MDF Shaker mouldings form recessed centre panels across the doors and drawer fronts, giving both sections a matching framed appearance.

Wooden architrave frames the unit from floor to ceiling. The decorative top cornice trim matches the room's skirting and ceiling trim.

Custom Wardrobe Interior with Double Hanging Rails and Lower Drawers

The four upper doors open to reveal internal shelving and double metal hanging rails. Shelves provide room for folded clothing, while the rails keep hanging garments within the main upper section.

Below, the six drawers are arranged in two equal stacks of three and run on heavy-duty side-mounted ball-bearing slides. Concealed 35mm soft-close Euro-style hinges are fitted to the wardrobe doors.
