Custom Home Office and Library Storage in Bromley, London

For this home in Bromley, London, we built a floor-to-ceiling home office and library unit. The installation combines a large open bookcase, lower storage cupboards and an integrated desk positioned in front of the window alcove.

Custom Floor-to-Ceiling Bookcase with Shaker Cupboards

The custom bookcase provides multiple shelving bays for books and display pieces. Its full-height construction uses the wall space for open storage, with vertical divisions separating the shelves into individual sections.

Lower cupboards provide enclosed storage beneath the bookcase. Shaker-style doors introduce framed detailing, complemented by small round metal knobs. This arrangement combines accessible shelving with cupboard space for belongings that can be kept out of view.

Custom Window Desk Integrated with Library Storage

The custom home office desk forms a bridge in front of the window alcove, connecting the cabinetry on either side. It provides a working surface within the fitted library arrangement, bringing the desk, bookcase and cupboards together in one installation.

The cabinet-grade MDF carcasses and shelving were finished in solid white with a smooth, low-sheen painted surface. The matching finish continues across the joinery, coordinating the desktop, open shelves and lower cupboard fronts.
