Custom Living Room Storage and TV Shelving in Pitshanger, London

For this home in Pitshanger, London, we built a large L-shaped living room unit and added TV shelving to an existing unit in another room. All the new cabinetry was custom-made from MDF. The living room installation combines storage for office items with cupboards and shelves for everyday household use.

L-Shaped MDF Base Units and Corner Shelving

The base units run along two adjoining walls, with a combination of cupboards and open shelving. Plain doors enclose some sections, while the open compartments at one end provide easy access. Internal shelves divide the cupboard space into separate storage levels.

Above the base units, we fitted custom shelving that follows the corner in an L shape. Shelves and vertical dividers create compartments of different widths for books and other belongings. The upper shelving extends towards the ceiling but remains concentrated around the corner, leaving wall space above the outer sections of the base units.

Open TV Shelving Added to an Existing Unit

In the second room, we added an open TV shelving unit above an existing base unit. The new MDF structure surrounds the television with shelves on both sides and a wide shelf across the top.

The original base unit remains in place, with the new shelving completing the television area and providing additional storage and display space around the screen.
