Custom MDF Wardrobe and Solid Oak Shelving in Redhill, Surrey

For this Redhill project, our Carpenter Redhill team built storage for two rooms: a made-to-measure MDF wardrobe for the bedroom and two solid-oak shelving units for the living room. Each piece was designed by Wood Fairy to fit its setting and support the client’s storage and display needs.

Made-to-Measure MDF Wardrobe in Redhill

The wardrobe follows the available bedroom space and has a four-section frontage with Shaker-style doors. Inside, hanging rails, shelves and drawers separate clothing and smaller items, while upper cupboards use the remaining height. 

The wardrobe was built entirely from MDF, keeping the material consistent across the doors, carcass and internal storage. The simple door pattern continues across its full width. This shows how custom wardrobes can be planned around the room rather than restricted to standard sizes.

Solid Oak Living Room Shelving in Redhill

In the living room, two open solid-oak shelving units sit on either side of the fireplace, leaving the chimney breast visible between them. The shelves are divided into compartments of different widths for books, ornaments and other display pieces. 

Their open-backed construction uses the wall colour as the background, while the straight shelves and dividers create the modern layout requested by the client. The two custom built in shelving units were sized for their positions beside the fireplace.
