Custom Reeded Base Cabinet and Wall Storage in Morden, London

For this home in Morden, Merton, London, we made and fitted a three-door base cabinet and a matching four-door wall cabinet. The design combines textured wood-grain lower fronts with plain MDF upper doors, providing enclosed storage alongside a concealed toilet cistern frame.

Custom Three-Door Base Cabinet with Reeded Fronts

The custom fitted base cabinet features three doors with vertical reeded detailing. The textured fronts introduce a natural wood-grain surface, with matching side panels completing the outer frame.

A clear matte finish leaves the grain visible across the lower cabinetry. Inside, white melamine-faced panels and shelving provide a smooth, wipe-clean surface. The base unit was fitted ready for its countertop to be added.

Custom Four-Door Wall Cabinet with MDF Fronts

Above the base unit, we installed a wall-hung cabinet with four flat-panel doors and internal shelving. The plain upper fronts complement the reeded detailing below, combining two different door styles within the fitted arrangement.

We made the upper doors and fascia from MDF, leaving them unfinished for priming and painting. The white melamine interiors provide a finished storage surface inside the cupboards.

Both units use concealed soft-close hinges, keeping the hinge fittings hidden when the doors are closed. The cabinetry was installed as part of the ongoing room fit-out, with the countertop and upper decorative finish still to be completed.
