Custom TV Unit, Wardrobe and Utility Storage in Wandsworth, London

For this home in Wandsworth, London, we built a custom TV unit, fitted wardrobe and utility cupboards. The MDF cabinetry was made to measure around the available walls, recesses and changes in ceiling height, adding storage across several areas of the house.

Made-to-Measure MDF TV Unit and Open Shelving

The TV unit combines a wide television opening with two rows of open shelving above. Vertical dividers create compartments of different widths, while the base cupboard has three Shaker-style doors.

Internal shelves divide the enclosed lower storage. Plain shelf profiles and framed cupboard doors give the installation a modern appearance. We also fitted individual MDF shelves into a separate narrow wall recess, using the existing opening for additional storage.

Fitted Wardrobe with Hanging Rails, Shelves and Drawers

We built the fitted wardrobe around changes in wall height and depth. Its stepped upper section fits around the ceiling bulkhead, with Shaker-style doors made to suit the different sections.

Inside, two hanging rails provide separate levels for clothing, with additional storage above. Beside the hanging section, a shelved cupboard sits over three drawers, bringing hanging space, shelving and drawer storage into one fitted installation.

Utility Cupboards and Meter Cover

The utility cupboards fit around a stacked washing machine and tumble dryer. Shelved cupboards above the appliances provide enclosed storage, while a tall narrow cupboard alongside uses the remaining space.

We also enclosed existing electrical equipment within an overhead cupboard and made a separate hinged MDF meter cover. Plain doors conceal the storage and equipment while allowing access when opened.
