Custom Built-In MDF Shelving in Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey

For this home in Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey, we built and fitted a tall MDF open shelving unit. The plain design provides five open storage compartments and was left unpainted, ready for painting.

Custom Open Shelving with a Plain Framed Front

This custom built-in shelving has four horizontal shelves within a simple rectangular frame. A full back panel and straight side panels enclose the shelving, while the open front keeps stored items visible and accessible.

The unit fits against the wall beside the doorway. Its shelves span the full internal width, providing space for books, display pieces and other belongings.

Unpainted MDF Ready to Paint

We completed the built-in installation with the MDF surfaces left unpainted. The unit is ready for painting in a colour chosen to suit the room.

Plain framing continues around the top, sides and base, keeping the detailing consistent across the installation.
