Custom Wall-to-Wall TV, Display and Desk Unit in Wimbledon, London

For this project in Wimbledon, our Carpenter South London team designed and built a full-width MDF unit that combines display shelving, a dedicated TV area and a desk. The installation extends from wall to wall, creating one continuous piece rather than several separate items of furniture. A traditional cornice runs across the top and gives the different sections a consistent outer frame.

Wall-to-Wall TV and Display Shelving Unit

The open shelving is divided into compartments of different sizes, providing places for books, ornaments and other display items. Larger horizontal sections sit alongside smaller square and vertical compartments, giving the client a choice of storage spaces across the unit. 

A dedicated opening holds the television, with further shelving positioned above, below and beside it. This arrangement brings custom TV & entertainment units and custom built in shelving together within one made-to-measure installation.

Integrated Desk within the Wimbledon TV and Display Unit

At the opposite end of the unit, we included a fitted desk area so the client can work in the same room. Shelves continue above and around the desk, keeping the workspace connected to the overall design while leaving a clear area for seating underneath. 

This is a practical use of custom office carpentry services because the desk was designed as part of the display unit rather than added afterwards. Every section was planned by Wood Fairy around the available wall and the different ways the client wanted to use it.
